Well the Moses t38 with the Onda 71 cm mast and 633 wing has put a huge smile on my face. I’ve been foiling 4 or 5 years and have owned maybe 7 foilboards, and this is easily my favourite.

Full disclosure I weigh 235 lbs so after my first session with the board I was wondering if I had bought too small. Second session all that was gone. It’s short, it’s tiny. But that big nose actually works. You pretty much have to get up on the wing as soon as you are on the board, but it’s very surprisingly forgiving if you don’t.

The ride is crazy agile. I was riding in very flat water in hatteras on the sound, but catching every little swell I could. Seriously you can ride waves on the sound with this thing. Can’t wait now for some real waves. The board turns easily and when you drift the kite and ride the swell it glides forever. That’s my favourite sensation these days.

The board tends to end up on its side with the wing floating after you fall off. That’s brilliant because it means that it doesn’t take off on you downwind at a thousand miles per hour like every other board I’ve used does. I really liked that today. Many boards make you throw the kite around violently to try to catch up with the board as it sails on downwind. My Augera board used to go so fast it would foil without me. The Moses is much friendlier after a wipeout. That’s bigger than you might think.

I think the whole thing looks really good too.
