This device only weighs 6 ounces and stops the mast or boom from hitting the nose area of your board during a high speed slam or catapult. The Deviator sits just in front of and under your mast base, moving in conjunction with the base in the mast track. The base of the Deviator will take the place of your current skid plate if you use one.
