Tried the 9m Apex in a variety of conditions, from sub 10 knots to mid-teens on the foil, upper-teens on the surf board, and above 20 knots on the twin tip. It worked well in all scenarios, with easy board launches and drifting on the foil in easy nearly flat conditions. The power of the kite can be a bit deceiving as it floats without much pull at neutral position, but when dove it pulls significantly. Likes to go fast when powered, but does not like being over sheeted, with some back stalling if the power is not fully on. Makes jibing and foot switches on the surf board easy, as it provides good low end pull, to put weight on the kite while foot switching, and makes direction changes quick. TT power is good around 20 knots or above, and pulls aggressively and boosts easily, with soft landings. Recommended.

Just got back from a week in the Outer Banks, flew the 12 and 9m Moto X Apex kites all week long. They flew really well, fast turning and light bar pressure. Used the kite on a couple of ocean downwinders strapless on a surf board and in the sound on a twin tip. The 9m was great even at 30 knots on my twin tip. Hang time was huge. The build quality impressed me the most, it seems incredibly solid for such a light kite. Would highly recommend!!

Had the chance to try this beast in both extreme end of the wind range of this kite

In LW (7-10knots) on hydrofoil I was really impressed on how easy this kite was to manoeuvre, the lines stayed tensed most the time when I was drifting the kite downwind, tones of power and very easy to keep the kite up,
the occasional loop in lulls was needed to send the kite back up the window ,but that is to be expected with any kite

Over all,this is an amazing LW machine

For the other end of the range 18-25 knots
Let me say that this is a very nimble kite that boost very nicely, tons of power, not for the fainted of heart to ride this beast in these stronger winds 😅but eh !! Hold my beer !

Over all, I’d highly recommend this kite for beginners all the way up to advanced riders, you will not regret !!
